Statistics like "1.1 billion people in need of fresh water" and "1 in 8 people drink unsanitary water" can be very difficult to grasp, but thankfully, the suffering and illness caused by a lack of access to clean drinking water is something we CAN eradicate. As individuals, we cannot provide clean drinking water to every person in the world, but we have to start somewhere. 

Our "somewhere" started in the villages of Liberia in West Africa. Liberia was ground zero of our Water of Life mission. We wanted to start with delivering clean water, hope, and the message of the Gospel to just one village. One village quickly became two, then three, then five, then ten, and so on. Today, that number now reaches into the hundreds as our mission to impact one village at a time still guides us. Through individuals, churches, small groups putting together their own fundraisers, and business donations, we have provided clean water wells across West Africa into Sierra Leone, Guinea, and The Gambia. In 2011, we expanded into another continent as we started new water projects in India.

For every well drilled, hundreds of people are given clean water and a chance to hear the good news of our Lord Jesus. The physical results of providing clean water is astounding as the health of the villagers improves drastically within weeks. On a follow-up visit to a Liberian village, President and CEO, Roland Bergeron, asked what has been the biggest result of having clean water. The village Chief replied,"Our babies aren't dying anymore."
