Anthony Delorenzi - It was, figuratively and literally, a very moving experience. So moving, in fact, that I am now moving my family there. When I went, I went on a whim. It was the first time I really tried to help someone else. When I got there, it hit me like a ton of bricks, and it gave me a purpose in life. The people were so appreciative, and you really got to see the reward for your work. I have my two cars, my kids go to a nice school, but I complain about traffic. They don’t have traffic problems to worry about...they worry about having something as simple as clean water. After my experience I felt like a week just wasn’t enough to dedicate to this. That’s why I am moving my family there. It brought my relationship with God closer to where I needed it to be. It has changed my outlook on life; you’ve got to experience it. Sharon Sudduth |
