Approximately 1.1 billion people in the world do not have access to clean water. Our mission is to bring them hope…one village at a time.
Water of Life is an organization dedicated to providing access to clean water to those in need while offering the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A non-profit organization based in Greenville, South Carolina, Water of Life has been sending mission teams around the world into different countries since 2001.
It was birthed out of the heart to see people receive the much needed water in their town or community and to see hope develop among the people. WOL trains and equips teams to serve two purposes: dig the wells which bring fresh water to the community, and offer the clear message of Jesus Christ which brings living water to their hearts.
Our ongoing mission is to connect people who are passionate about providing clean water to impoverished communities. Connecting a group of people to a movement worth pursuing is like taking one pebble, casting it into the water and then encouraging others to cast their pebble, until, together they create a ripple that turns into a wave carrying water and hope from here to Africa.
Water of Life is here to mobilize and equip those who want to help substantially change the tragedy of bad water in other lands and provide hope to those people around the globe.
A word from our founder, Roland Bergeron...
"We are providing a unique combination of humanitarian relief and the Gospel presentation. In Liberia, this is highly effective. We are relieving huge amounts of human suffering, particularly among the weak and vulnerable, children and the sick. Most importantly, we are partnering with people that are successfully spreading the Gospel message. This isn’t just counting noses at a revival. This is a true, indigenous church planting effort. We see people that were once dead and are now alive. Whether we step up to the plate or not, God’s Will will be done. I am honored and blessed to be a part of this great Christian movement in West Africa.”
